Research Question |
we want to see if epsom salt and baking soda effects the growth of a plant |
Predictions |
we belive that epsom salt will increase the rate of growth of the plant |
Experimental Design |
The experiment is based on the rate of the plant growth in baking soda and epsom salt
When put 300m of water in each of the pot of plant when the water run out when put less then the amount of water we put in before, the amount of baking soda we put 5 teaspoon and 5 teaspoons of epsom salt |
Conclusion |
our hypothesis that epsom salt will help the tomato plant grow better than baking soda and the normal control was incorrect. our results shown that the control grew the best, whereas there were more leaves, a lot more height, and the plant was just more rigid in general. contraily, the epsom salt plant stayed about the same from the beginning to the end, there wasn't much growth, theres few to little leaves, and its height wasn't fanciful. and finally the baking soda plant was just a total failure. it died a few hours after contact with the baking soda and water solution , because baking soda contains sodium . and sodium is very toxic to plants . basically too much is detrimental to plants, which was our mistake. |
