Explore That plants go through phase called photosynthesis and produce oxygen.
Research Question Will the size of the leaf disk effect the speed of photosynthesis.
Predictions If the leaf disk is smaller then the process of photosynthesis will be quicker because it has a smaller space to cover.
Experimental Design 1. Fill cup with 100ml of mater 2. Cut out 12 spinach leaf disks using hole punch(7mm)(12mm)(10mm). 3. Place 1g of baking soda into water to carbonate water. 4. Place the leaf disks into syringe and suck up the carbonated water into syringe. 5.Pull on the syringe tube to pull the oxygen out of the leaves. 6. Set time to 10 minutes( count amount of leaves that float up per minute)
