On A Cloudy Day.....

Project by group othsmikosspring2020

Explore Before researching photosynthesis in class, we knew plants take in broken down nutrients from decomposes. We also knew that humans need plants to live. In class we learned that plants do photosynthesis and cellular respiration and make their own glucose. After this lab we wonder how plants store glucose.
Research Question Through this experiment we want to answer the question: how many discs will rise to the top in 15 minutes for both cups.
Predictions We predict the cup covered in Saran Wrap will have the quickest results.
Experimental Design For our experiment we will be covering one cup with Saran Wrap and it will be filled with spinach, water, and 1 teaspoon of baking soda to represent plants in a greenhouse. Another cup will be filled with spinach , water, and a teaspoon of baking soda, this cup will be covered with lens wipes and Saran Wrap to represent plants on a cloudy day in a greenhouse. We will be testing how many disks will float to the top of the cups within the 10 minute span or until they have all risen. We will be shining the light directly on top of the cups.
