Project by group othsmikosfall2020

Explore I have learned that different amounts of salt mixed with water creates different reactions to the celery. The environment the experiment takes place in also is important to get the results you are looking for.
Research Question The question we are trying to answer in this lab is if adding more salt to the boiling water will make the celery more flexible. We used data from our previous experiment and decided that this would be the best way to make the celery flexible.
Predictions We predict that adding more salt to the water will result in a more curly, flexible piece of celery. Our explanation for why we think this will happen is because in our previous labs, the more salt that was in the water created a more flexible piece of celery.
Experimental Design For our experiment, the supplies we are using are 1 cup water, 2 teaspoons of salt, and a 3 inch piece of celery. The control variable is the length of the celery. The independent variable is the amount of time the celery is in the water. The dependent variable is how flexible the celery becomes.
