What I know about plants is that they go through a cycle called photosynthesis. I also know if the plants don't receive enough water or sun it can limit the plants nutrients. We also know that when plants are overwatered the plant can drown and die, just like when we add too little water the plants will tend to die |
Research Question |
How will growing radishes with worms be any different from growing radishes without worms? We will be testing our plant with large crawlers and jumbo red worms and then have a plant with no worms to see the difference. |
Predictions |
I thnk the plant with the worm will grow much better than a plant without a warm. I predict that because a worm can give the soil nutruients and it creates space for the water to travel easier making it a lot easier for the plant to get what it needs like water and nutrients. |
Experimental Design |
Step 1: We will take a series of notes and do some research to
Step 2:Guess what will happen with the worm and without them (hypothesis)
Step 3: Gather all materials
Step 4: Get plant container fill it up with soil 2 inches below the top of the container
Step 5 : Plant reddish seed 1/2 inch into the soil
Step 6: Label the containers with with each type of worm
Step7: For the durability of the worms we will add a pile of leaves or grass clippings, peelings and will have dead grass or leaves
Step 8: we will steadily water the plants till they are moist but not too much water where it overflows
Step 9: we will then take out the plans during second period so that they get the six hours of sunlight they need and put them back in class after school
(on Wednesdays they will get less sunlight due to our class schedules)
Step 10: to keep track of the plant growth we will measure with Ruler and save results by taking images
Step 11: we will check every Friday
Step 12: we will keep repeating steps 8 through 11 till we finish our project
