Personally I do not know very much about plants outside of school. We have discovered that plants rely on sunlight and water. A questions about plants that interest us are, what qualities help plants grow faster? |
Research Question |
We want to test different types of soil, store bought and natural to see what kind of soil help our radish grow quicker. We came up with this question while trying to figure out what will help our plant grow more efficiently. The question fits the topic because we are talking about how agronomy feeds the world, and helping agronomy will help us feed the world more efficiently. |
Predictions |
The possible outcomes could be one seed growing faster or stronger than the other. The explanation is because we are using different soils, some soils have more nutrients or are better for plant growth and the other is more natural. |
Experimental Design |
For our plants we will get an empty container, add in Miracle Grow Soil. Pack in the soil. Continue these steps for all types of soil. Add in Radish seeds. Genaro will plant the seeds. Lily will pack in the soils. Ingrid will add water to the plants once a day. Steph will measure every 3 or 4 days. Steph will keep all containers in the greenhouse. We will test what type of soil works better. The variables we will keep constant are the watering and sunlight. We will record our data in a notebook and take down measurements. |
