Hydroponics and Agronomy

Project by group mdcsahafall2020

Explore I know that certain plants need different variables in order to be able to grow. Some plants need more water, others need more sunlight, and others need specific enviorments and systems. I want to see if plants have a different outcome in a hydroponic system with different light and rooting treatments.
Research Question Can different lighting or rooting systems effect the growth of plants in a hydroponic system?
Predictions My prediction is that the rooting treatment and lighting treatment will help the species that do not grow well hydroponically more effectively. If i treat a plant with more sunlight and soil, the plant will grow faster and healthier.
Experimental Design I plan to put two different plants into different amounts of light, and also different amounts of soil in the hydroponic system to see if one grows more effectively than the other. I will measure the size of the stem, amount of leafs, and fruit size of the plant too see the effectiveness of the variable changes.
