They reproduce through pollination and spread through seed pods. they use chlorophyll to eat 'plant food'. The 'nature' part means that the organism is influenced by its surroundings. The ‘nurture’ part means that the organism is influenced by other organisms around it. |
Research Question |
How does the fertilizer affect discrete and continuous traits in brassica? |
Predictions |
If fertilizer influences continuous traits then we expect height of the plant and the number if leaves to be larger in the high fertilizer plants. We expect that the color of the stem and leaves not to change. We expect the continuous traits to change but the discrete traits to not change. |
Experimental Design |
Height: Measure it in millimeters every class and compare the height between high and low fertilizer.
Leaves: Count the amount of leaves every class and compare the amount of leaves between high and low fertilizer.
Seed pods: Count the amount of seed pods every class once they are visible and compare the number of seed pods between high and low fertilizer. |
