We The Children

Project by group lsasfall2020

Explore We have learned outside of school that certain plants have certain needs in order to thrive. We have also learned that there are plants used in medicines, and that some are used as herbs. In class, we have discovered that certain plant tissues perform certain functions. When a plant is poisonous, is it the plant itself that is toxic, or is it the cells?
Research Question Would the celery still curve if we put it in a flat container?
Predictions Hypothesis: The entire team thinks that the celery in the cup will curve, and that the celery in the flat container will not curve.
Experimental Design See the poster in files
Conclusion Result: The celery did not curve as much in the flat container vs.. the vertical container. Our hypothesis was right. The celery in the salt water was flaccid, while the celery in the water was turgid.
