Control Group:
Mason Jar, add 10cm of soil to mason jar, plant one pea seed in the soil. Cover the pea in 2cm of soil. Place the jar in a sunny spot. Add 10ml of water every other day. After you water the plant, measure how tall the plant is using a ruler and record heights in the planting science data table.
Experimental Group:
Mason Jar, fill jar with 5cm of soil and 5-ish cm of approximately 1.5cm rocks, plant one pea seed in the soil. Add 2cm of 1.5cm rocks on top of the seed. Place the jar in a sunny spot. Add 10ml of water every other day. After you water the plant, measure how tall the plant is using a ruler and record heights in the planting science data table. |
