Use these three liquids: Water, Sprite, and Apple Juice
1. Cut equal size pieces from a spinach leaf, 10 for each cup ( there will be 3 cups)
2. In your three cups pour you liquids into each cup, pour a small spoonful of baking soda, and 3 drops of dish soap. To each cup. And mix but not too much to cause a lot of bubbles
3. Cut 30 spinach leaf discs, put 10 in each syringe make sure they are at the bottom and push the plunger almost all the way down, do not crush the discs.
4. Fill a 3 syringes 3 quarters of the way full of each cup solution. Try to get remaining oxygen out of the syringe.
5. Hold your finger on the tip of the syringe, and pull the plunger back. Then slowly release the plunger, then take your finger off. Repeat until the discs have all sunk.
6. Carefully take the plunger out of the syringe then pour the solution and discs in the cup where it came from.
7. Then place all three cups under a light 3cm above.
8. Then record how many discs float every minute for 15 minutes. |
