I know that you need water, sunlight, and a home for a plant to start the process of Cellular respiration. Cellular Respiration is a process which gives a plant nutrients. Cellular respiration takes place in the Mitochondria, which is an important part of a cell because it is a big part of the nutritional diet of a plant. Most seeds typically need a “ just right” amount of water to take a leap into root and plant growth. Sunlight should be consistent and have a medium amount of water to be a stable and healthy plant. |
Research Question |
If I change the amount of water given, then how will it affect the plants growth? |
Predictions |
The less water the slower the seeds will grow |
Experimental Design |
1. Cover 1 seed in a paper towel do this 10 times
2. Pour an amount of water specified on the paper towel
3. Repeat process for your given amount of time
4. Record your results and compare them with your group
5. Come to a conclusion one your information |
Conclusion |
Based on our Investigation data, we can see that the best amount of water is around 10 Ml.
These results were to be expected. I knew that a “Just right” or medium amount of water would give
the seed a balanced and healthy growing plant. I did not expect for 12 Ml to get so high of a mean for germination growth. I thought this because I expected that measurement to flood the seeds. |
