The Plantstagators

Project by group dmsstiemspring2021

Explore They Grow, some of them are green, certain plants grow certain food, some plants take certain times to grow, all plants require sunlight and water to grow, and Plants are the source of life.
Research Question How does the temperature of water affect the germination of the plant?
Predictions If the colder the water the quicker it will germinate so then the hotter the water the more time it will take to grow. We know this because you usually water plants with hose water and that is usually cold.
Experimental Design 1:Place 3 corn seeds in each paper towel and place that in the ziplock 2: Label each zip lock either Hot, cold, or room temp 3:Place the cold water one in the refrigerator, place the hot water one in a cabinet next to the room temperature and just have the room temperature in a cabinet. 4: Water each of the paper towels that hold the seeds with 2 tablespoons of water of either Hot, Cold, or room temperature in its designed bag with paper towels 5: Make your observations every day by measuring with a ruler in cm (only if there is a sprout) 6: Repeat step three, four, and five every day for six days
