Explore Questions: -How much water should a plant get and how often? -How much sunlight is a good amount What we know: - Plants don't need soil to germinate. - Plants do need Water,Sunlight, Oxygen, glucose, and Carbon
Research Question Which plant will germinate first Nasturtium, Corn, or Alfalfa?
Predictions We predict that nasturtium will germinate faster than Alfalfa and Corn plants.
Experimental Design Our independent variable is the species of seeds, the dependent variables are the days it takes each plant to germinate, and lastly the variables to control are the water and the light. 1. put a paper towel in a petri dish 2. put 5 nasturstium in 2 dishes 3. put 5 corn in 2 dishes 4. put 5 alfalfa in 2 dishes 5. put 20 drops of water in each dish 6. repeat 5-6 daily
Conclusion In conclusion through the investigation we found that Alfalfa was the fastest to germinate followed by the nasturtium than the corn
