The Little Potato

Project by group dmsgrayspring2019

Research Question How does the amount of light affect how ryegrass germinates?
Predictions If you use higher levels of light, then the percentages of seed germination will increase.
Experimental Design Step 1: gather materials Step 2: construct a growth chamber using 6 petri dishes and paper towel Step 3: put paper towel on bottom of petri dish and place seeds Step 4: put wax paper on half of the light (so half of the seeds get direct light and half do not) Step 5: keep an eye on the seeds and watch for germination Step 6: everyday cheek for germination, mist the paper towel, and update data table *NOTE* how many days did it take for the seeds to germinate? Step 7: calculate percentage of germination for high and low light
