Hungry?!?! Have A Snickers!!!

Project by group dmsgrayspring2019

Explore We discovered that we know that germination has started when the plant grows a root to take in water. We also discovered that seeds can guess in a way when they found a suitable environment under the right conditions to germinate. Though sometimes, that guess isn't all that good.
Research Question How will the amount of fertilizer in soil effect the speed of germination on a nasterium flower?
Predictions If we increase the amount of fertilizer (Miracle-Gro Plant Food), then the speed of germination will increase. The reason this is, is because fertilizer generally has more essential nutrients that are necessary for the plant grow. With the essential nutrients, the plant will most likely grow faster because it has no shortage of food.
Experimental Design 1 Count and soak the nutrium seeds for 24 hours 2 soak one circle of paper towel with regular water 3 Soak another circle of paper towel with 1/4 oz. of Miracle- Gro fertilizer 4 Soak a finall paper towel with 1/2 oz. of Miracle- Gro fertilizer 5 put paper towel circles in seperate pitri dishes 6 label each pitri dish observe
