The DMS Seed Heads

Project by group dmsgrayfall2019

Explore A seed is a ripened ovule of a fertilized flower germination is the process of a plant growing.
Research Question How does the amount of water affect the speed at which the seed grows?
Predictions If we continue with the question: Does the amount of water affect how fast the plant grows? If we change the amount of water then the plant will grow faster.
Experimental Design Independent Variable: Water Dependent Variable: Plant Growth speed Variables to control: Plant seed, Amount of water Materials: Corn, Water, Light, Paper towel, Syringe, Petri dish Procedure: 1: Place 10 corn seeds in the petri dish 2: Water them giving them 1ml, 2ml, and 3ml of water. 3: Record date 4: Repeat steps two and three for the next 5 days 5: Put data into charts and graphs
