CornDog Squad

Project by group dhswelchspring2017brassica

Explore What we know about plants is that some grow slower than others, and plants are way more complex then you might think. We have discovered many things in class about plants. Such as what's inside a seed , how do seeds grow, etc. I would like to find out how plants fertilize seeds and create new plants.
Research Question Does high or low fertilizer affect pod length? If so, how?
Predictions Our group predicts that some pod lengths could possibly come out around 2 inches for the high fertilizer, 1 inch for the controlled fertilizer, and a couple centimeters for the low fertilizer.
Experimental Design By cutting 3 water bottles in half it acts as a pot and water trough. The string though the water bottle lid (screwed back on and a hole cut through it) rests in the bottom half of the bottle and provides the plant with water. Then, the different numbers of fertilizer will help to distinguish between Controlled(12), Low(6), and High(24), all should have the same amount of fast seeds.
