Explore We know very the basics.
Research Question How do c-ferns grow under normal circumstances?
Predictions If we grow the c-ferns with no changes, then they should grow normally because there aren't any added variables.
Experimental Design 1: Put on gloves and disinfect them thoroughly 2: Disinfect table 3: Grab 7 petri dishes 4: Put all of our petri dishes in a row with all of the lids raised above them 5: Have the medium poured into the petri dishes and mark them 6: Put the dishes into the heated crate 7: Upload blog info 8: On the next day, pick up gloves, disinfect, and get a paper clip 9: Bend the paper clip into a broom shape and disinfect it 10: Get a sterile pipette and draw some of the spores out of the vile 11: Lift the petri dish lid enough to drop three drops of liquid. Do this for each petri dish. Repeat until you run out. 12: Use the paper clip to spread the spore liquid. 13: Turn the dishes upside down 14: Put the dishes in plastic bags while upside down, DO NOT SEAL. 15: Put the dishes into the crate and take notes 16:Take notes and blog daily 17: Some days, get some spores for the microscope
Conclusion We were the control group. Our plants grew about as expected. The only problems we have possible experienced was contamination of the plants. Otherwise, we had very successful experiment. The plants grew into a nice shade of green and were clumping together. The temperature was fine. The experiment was a success.
