Plants are multicelluar organisms that have leaves, roots, and a stem. They also grow. In class we learned about plant cells. We also learned about the structure and function of plants. One thing that we learned is that a plant is either dicot or monocot. We are wondering how pea plants reproduce. We are also wondering if plants can communicate and if so, how? |
Research Question |
If a plant has more light or less light then it will affect its growth in some way. |
Predictions |
I think that if a plant has no light it will die, but it a plant has to much light it shrivel up. The light has to be the perfect amount in order to thrive. |
Experimental Design |
Material list: soil, sunlight, one box, thirty pea seeds, thirty cups, and water
Procedures:
1. Gather all materials
2. Plant each pea seed in its own pot
3. Place ten plants on the windowsill
4. Place a ten plants under a box
5. Place the final ten plants in the sink for indirect light
6. Water all the plants regularly with the same amount of water each day
7. Leave the plants there for a few days then check all plants for results |
Conclusion |
Our results occurred because sunlight helps a plants growth. The data supports our claim because we thought that the sunlight would grow the best. Future experiments could experiment on different seeds. |
