We have learned that ryegrass likes dry soil , but wet climates and the temperatures it lives in are between 60-75 degrees. It grows rapidly, and have long growing seasons. There 230,000 seeds per pound of ryegrss. They usually grow 2-3 feet tall. They are two main types of ryegrass: Italian ryegrass and perennial ryegrass . They will stop growing if the temperature Is too cold or too hot. |
Research Question |
If we use different liquids how will it change how the plant grows? |
Predictions |
We think that the coffee will have a better effect on the plant causing it to grow better than the other liquids. The reason for this is because sometimes we put leftover coffee grounds in our plants and it helps it grow because of its nutrients. |
Experimental Design |
*Planting Science Material List*
Flower pots for planting plants,
Ryegrass seeds,
Sun light,
Soil (research type of soil first),
Orange Soda,
Chocolate Milk,
Vinegar,
Apple juice,
Coffee
Procedures: We have to water our plants four times a day, has to be in well dried soil
Variables: Control amount of light, water/liquids, soil, area grown in |
Conclusion |
overall our hypothesis was wright the coffee water grew the biggest and strongest we were very amazingly awesome at this |
