I Like Worm Hugs

Project by group bcsboylefall2021

Explore Hi! In science class so far we have learned some of the basics about plants. We have learned about monocots and dicots as well as basic plant anatomy and cell structures. For our experiment we are planning on working with daisy's and worms to see how they affect the germination rate.
Research Question How do worms effect the growth of plants?
Predictions We predict that the container with the 5 worms will do better then the rest. The container with 3 worms we think will be too small of an amount and the one with 10 we believe will be to many worms for one environment.
Experimental Design For our experiment we are using four plastic containers with 10 ryegrass seeds in each. In one container there will be no worms, in another 3 worms, another one has 5 worms, and the last one has ten worms. All the seeds are getting the same amount of light and water but we are going to see what plants grow the most. And how the worms effect the plants.
