  • Describe your teaching experience and interests in a brief public biography (200 words)
I received my PhD in molecular biology from Cornell University in 2002. After a year of postdoctoral work at Georgetown University, I was drawn to teaching high school science at a private school in Washington, DC. I teach introductory biology to ninth graders and an elective course in biotechnology. I am most interested in teaching my students "how to think like a scientist" and give them the experience of "doing real science" in my classes.
