Describe your teaching experience and interests in a brief public biography (200 words)
My interest in teaching lies in inquiry, place-based, and outdoor education. I initially taught at a track camp and later in college, after my interest in the outdoors moved towards biology and environmental science (rather than just sports), I worked as an outdoor field educator in Americorps for Teton Science Schools in Jackson Wyoming. After this experience, I returned as a graduate student at Teton Science Schools to teach over 1000 hours as a field instructor and gain more experience in place-based education. I enjoy spending my time in the outdoors as well as playing music, theater, running, being involved in the community, and learning about new places.
