I did plant research in Dr. Bradley Hyman's lab for 2 years during my undergrad at UC Riverside. I completed one year of UC San Diego's PhD program in biology, focusing on plant molecular biology both at UC San Diego and the Salk Institute. I taught 7-12 science at Costa Mesa High School in Orange County California for five years (biology, 8th grade life science, AP Biology). I took four years off to raise my son and taught GED adult education night classes. I have been teaching 9-12 science in Cobb County for 12 years (conceptual physics, on-level biology, honors biology, magnet biology, AP Environmental Science).
