    One time I was hiking to my experimental field sites in West Virginia and I was eating black raspberries along the way. I eventually realized a black bear had the same idea I did and we had been unknowingly walking towards each other. The bear, however, realized before I did and quickly ran away and I sang songs out loud the rest of the way to my field sites to make my presence aware to any other bears in the area!
