Regarding the salt experiment, I am missing something. What is the volume of water that you will use to dissolve the 5 or the 10 grams of salt? That is important to know the concentration of salt that will be in the solution that you will use to treat the seeds.

Plant seed germination is severely affected by salt. If you use too much, you will see no germination at all. Let me know the water/salt solution volume so I can stimate if you are using too much or too little salt, please.

Also, you mention that you will saturate the seeds with the water/salt treatment. I would recommend to use enough water to soak the seeds but always avoid to let the seeds submerged under the water. They need a little bit of oxygen!
