• Describe your teaching experience and interests in a brief public biography (200 words)

  I have been teaching for 21 years in public high schools in NJ. I have taught biology - AP, honors, CP and CP plus; and environmental science - honors, CP and CP plus. I am one of the lead teachers in our department in terms of curriculum development and am currently involved in aligning our current biology curriculum to the NGSS. I have been focusing my professional development for the past few years on curriculum and NGSS. I am interested in developing my students' science skills and way of thinking and I find the NGSS standards focus on these things.
