  I have studied nesting behavior and courtship success of endangered shorebirds, conducted avian fatality monitoring at solar power plants. My Master's thesis was on the use of detection dogs in wildlife research.

  There are many different aspects to the term science. The leg work in terms of reading previous research and developing your question and analyzing findings take a lot more thinking skills and might change what you think your experiment actually is at the outset!
