  • Role
Scientist Mentor: I will mentor teams of students online

  • Research Interests (300 words)
I'm a plant ecologist. I seek to answer how plants, as sessile organisms, deal with changes in resource availability. I am interested in any research effort aimed at improving understanding on how the pace of environmental change affects from individual-level physiology to community composition and ecosystem functioning.

  • Profile Question 1
When and why did you decide to go into a science career?

  • Answer the question you selected for profile question 1 here (300 words):
I decided to go on a science career in High School, because I was fascinated by plants, but also because I had an inspiring Biology teacher during the last year who encouraged me to pursue a BSc degree in Biology.

  • Profile Question 2
What is your favorite plant? Why?

  • Answer the question you selected for profile question 2 here (300 words):
Succulent plants, definitely. They are tough, sometimes leafless and spiny and live in weird places.

  • Profile Question 3
Do you have advice for students about preparing for a science career?

  • Answer the question you selected for profile question 3 here (300 words):
    Ask questions. All the time.

  • Availability
I am NOT available, please temporarily remove me from the available mentor list

  • Capacity: How many teams at a time are you comfortable working with?
