Answer the question you selected for profile question 2 here (300 words):
Being a scientist for more than 11 years, what excites me the most is exploring the unknown. There is no fun in what is already known, but what motivates me is the unpredictability of science. If you start the experiment with the result in mind, you might be disappointed. But if you start the experiment without any prejudice and wait for the results, that is the best way to do science. I decided to go into a science career because of many reasons. One of the founding reason was having a great biology teacher in high school. As an 8th grader, I was fascinated by plants. I loved their architecture. I would pretend to be a plant doctor and dissect galls from an Asoka tree. I could connect the theory with practice in biology, unlike physics or maths which didn't resonate with me. I am glad to be a scientist and it gives me immense pleasure.
