    I am a plant ecologist studying how plants regenerate and recover after wildfires. The diversity of native plants is fascinating to study, and one of my main research goals is to better understand these diverse natural communities to improve restoration efforts after major disturbances.

    What is your favorite plant? Why?

    Asclepias tuberosa is my favorite plant because it is a beautiful uniquely shaped orange flowers and is a host plant for monarch butterflies!

    Being a scientist is awesome because you are constantly learning new things and exploring how the world works.
