    As an undergraduate, my research interests are still developing but I am currently working as an undergraduate research assistant in a hydroponics lab and an environmental psychology lab.

    What was the first science experiment you ever designed? How did it turn out?

    I designed an experiment analyzing the effects of hydrogen peroxide on hydroponic lettuce grown with conventional and organic fertilizers. Seeing a research project develop from beginning to end really solidified my passion for plant sciences and research!

    Can you describe your attitude toward science when you were in high school?

    I loved it! Even though throughout high school I had no idea what I wanted to pursue in college, I knew it had to be in the sciences.

    The amount of agency plants have. They can feel and communicate a lot more than people think!
