    I am very interested in how plants adjust to challenges in their environment, where I specifically study how plants associate with and recruit soil microbes – like bacteria and fungi -under different conditions to potentially aid survival.

    The best thing about being a scientist is being able to explore and discover new things about the world, what all it holds, and how various phenomena we experience can arise! This pursuit of learning can take you to many beautiful places and bring so much transformation.

    I began to actively take steps towards a career in science when I was an undergraduate student. I took an environmental science class and really admired how one can use science to better understand and address issues we currently face in society.
