Describe your teaching experience and interests in a brief public biography (200 words)
I am a lifelong learner and lover of knowledge, making a difference in the lives of students using skills and expertise from over twenty-five years of teaching and exploring the world of science, and education. A valuable component of my teaching stems from spending summers at research facilities in my state. These experiences, along with a long list of science workshops, seminars, and collaborations, have been the springboard to do authentic research in the classroom. I am a National Board Certified Teacher in AYA Science, hold a BS in Biology from Central State University, a M.Ed. in Secondary Education with an Emphasis in Science from East Central University, and a MS in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis.
