Describe your teaching experience and interests in a brief public biography (200 words)
I have been teaching life science at the middle school level since 2007. My background is in biology and I worked in the plant physiology lab during my undergraduate degree. I conducted a variety of plant research in Yellowstone National Park during that time. After becoming a teacher, I earned my M.S. in Science Education. I continue to explore better ways to share my passion for biology with my students and am currently focused on creating an NGSS based learning environment that is rich in technology and student driven investigations.
