PlantingScience is going to Boise!
(And you can come too!)

Each year the Botanical Society of America organizes one of the largest professional conferences for plant scientists in North America. During the summer of 2023, this gathering will bring botanists, taxonomists, agronomists and other plant science researchers from all over the world together in Boise, Idaho.

In response to requests from teachers and our scientist mentors, this year we're piloting an opportunity to enable students to attend a day of the Botany 2023 conference and hopefully meet their mentors in person.  Student teams that participate in the 2023 Spring session will be invited to spend a day at the conference and experience firsthand what it's like to be a scientist sharing findings with colleagues in a professional setting!

Students who attend will have the opportunity to:

• Display a poster of their PlantingScience project and share their findings.
• Attend sessions to see scientists sharing their work.
• Share a meal with our PlantingScience scientist mentors!

We currently have student teams from Idaho participating in the Spring 2023 session, so if you are a mentor who plans to attend the conference, let us know!  We'll make sure you get paired up with a team that may be coming to join us there!
