I plan on utilizing the investigation theme: Foundations of Genetics during the biotechnology semester of my HS Stem course. A hands on activity with access to a science mentor will not only help my students understand the realities and opportunities of plant science, but will reinforce the concepts about genetics learned in their biology course. This will be tied in with the plan to design a virtual automated greenhouse to best accommodate the needs of plants grown during this experiment.

  • Grades: High School Students (Grades 9,10,11,12)
