About Our Class

  • Teacher: Kristina Gremski
  • School: The Masters School
  • Grades: High School Students (Grades 9,10,11,12)

What We're Doing

  • Planning to Start: 2/18/2022
  • Planning to End: 4/8/2022
  • Theme: Plants Get Sick, Too!
  • Expected Breaks: 3/12/2022 - 3/27/2022 (spring break)
  • Course: Introduction to Science Research

Our Outcomes

This project will be part of a semester-long elective for 9th graders. I hope to give the students an experience in carrying out a simple research project under the guidance of a scientist mentor. This will give them a preview of what it might be like to enroll in a 2-3 year-long Science Research course in which they would carry out an independent research project under the guidance of an expert mentor. Participating in Planting Science could be a good way to introduce 9th graders to what it may be like to ask a meaningful research question, design an experiment, and analyze data.
