Welcome to SFFS Melman Spring 2018
I think that both the students and I will learn a lot from this program! I have never actually taught a plant science unit, so I think that I will gain a lot of science knowledge taking part in PlantingScience. I'm sure I will have questions for the scientists in addition to the kids! For the students, I love having them interact with real scientists. I think it gives the projects we do a great grounding in reality and gives them ideas of what you can do in the future beyond the unspecific "scientist." I think that all projects should be authentic, and PlantingScience gives them an automatic authentic connection to the "why" we are doing this.
