By working with science mentors and teachers as facilitators, students will develop a strong foundation for how scientists work through real-world problems. This approach aligns with the Next Generation Science Standards which NJ has adopted. Students will be using core skills such as asking questions, planning and carrying out investigations, analyzing and interpreting data, as well as communicating information. These skills will help transcend not only through my classroom, but in other science classrooms, and beyond. Students should recognize that science is not just about the end result, but the process by which they are able to achieve that end result.
